An “unexpected” change

by Mr Mike

The first few months were spent getting used to life and work here.  Unfortunately my boss turned out to be a lier and the school owner was full of sh*t.  We were repeatedly paid late and had to deal with a strange sequence of events at school.  I told them that in America many of these things like random unknown men wandering around the halls would be cause to send my class into lockdown and call the police; that didn’t phase them.

This page chronicles my life in Seoul after the first few months when I’ve decided to leave my current hogwon in search of bigger and better things.  I’ve been interviewing and am excited about the prospects of getting a hire paying teaching job with more benefits and a real vacation schedule while actually teaching elementary school instead of English “daycare.”
