The Best of 2018

The Best of 2018

This year will surely go down in the history books for a multitude of reasons but today I am challenging you to step away from all the turmoil in the world and focus on the beauty of planet Earth.  I’ve been busy teaching my 5th & 6th graders for the last few months and fallen gravely behind in updating this blog but rest assured I”ve had plenty of Alaskan adventures and am excited to bring you my best photos of 2018.

I’ve had plenty of highs and lows as I still figure out what it means to be living in the United States again but I’m incredibly grateful to be working in such an amazing school and have the support of friends & family.   This year I got to rekindle old friendships on an east coast journey and build new ones here in Alaska, I’ve had countless adventures yet am amused that most of my best photos come from the same few trips.

It brings me great joy to have been able to share so many of these experiences with my brother, Ben!  I don’t know where I’d have gone if not for him but I’m certain it wouldn’t have been Alaska.  But before I get going on another tangent, I present to you my best photos of 2018, please comment below and let me know which is your favorite!

I usually shrink and optimize my photos for the internet but have decided to share the full version of these to give you a glimpse of every detail.  That might mean this post will take a bit longer to load so please be patient.

I took well over 10,000 photos this year and to narrow it down to simply 10 is almost impossible.  I started with a highlight reel of about 117 photos that I absolutely adored.  So here are some of the other amazing shots that could have easily been in the top 10.
