Vacations in Vietnam

Love vacations with a little bit of everything? You’ll love Vietnam. This is a country of contrasts where amazing adventures await around every corner. From French colonial cities with buzzing markets and powerful heritage sites to spectacular national parks and beautiful beaches, Vietnam has it all.

Make sure you don’t miss a moment of this magical destination and add Vietnam bicycle tours to your itinerary that allow you to slow down and soak it all in. There are incredible trails in the north and south that are guaranteed to take your breath away.

Cycling North Vietnam

  • Hanoi

Pedal the pavements of Vietnam’s capital Hanoi to capture the essence of this diverse destination. Highlights include the picturesque Temple of Literature, the imposing Hồ Chí Minh’s Mausoleum, the colorful Old Quarter, and sampling street food at the Đồng Xuân Market.

  • Moc Chau

In contrast to the chaos of the capital, Moc Chau is a serene spot with stunning natural beauty. There’s not a hint of gray in sight: in the spring, bright pink blossoms fall gently from the trees to form a soft blanket that muffles the sound of your wheels.

Throughout the rest of the year, the plateau is awash with undulating green tea plantations.

  • Cát Bà Island

You can also cycle Cát Bà, a craggy jungle-clad landscape that is the largest island in Halong Bay. Once you’ve traversed the hilly interiors, you can take a slow boat ride around idyllic La Han Bay that awaits just offshore.

South Vietnam Bike Trails

  • Cát Tiên National Park

Wildlife lovers will find themselves in paradise when peddling through Cát Tiên National Park. The entire reserve is an astonishing 720 square kilometers, but your trails are a more manageable 10km approximately.

Follow routes around the waterways and wide grassy plains, keeping an eye out for the elephants, sloth bears, gibbons, and other animals that hide away in the ancient tropical forest. Cát Tiên National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its richly varied flora.

  • Mekong Delta

This multi-day journey along the Mekong Delta takes you away from Hồ Chí Minh City and out into the countryside for an insight into the authentic culture of local life in Vietnam. Pass quiet paddy fields filled with rice, small villages alive with the smell of cooking, and vivid fruit orchards.

  • Vung Tau

Round off your trip with some chill-out time at the beach and a steady bike ride around Vung Tau, Vietnam’s vibrant port city. Wend your way up to the lighthouse for aerial views of the city or make your way along Front Beach for endless tropical ocean vistas.
